Use of cookies

We use cookies, i.e. small files containing configuration information. They help determine user preferences and implement special user functions. We do not collect personal information through cookies. If you do not want us to recognize your device, please configure your Internet browser to erase all cookies from your device, block all cookies or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. All of the website’s functions will work without cookies, although some user-defined properties and settings may not be available.

This website uses the following types of cookies, and the scope and function of these cookies are explained below:

  • Transient cookies (see a)
  • Persistent cookies (see b).
  1. a)            Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. They include, in particular, session cookies. Session cookies store a session identifier that can be used to assign various inquiries from your browser during the shared session. This allows your computer to be recognized when it returns to the website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
  2. b)           Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified time period, which can vary depending on the cookie. You can delete these cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.

You can configure your browser setting based on your preferences and refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies, for example, but please be aware that you might not be able to use all the functions of this website.

We use cookies to identify you on return visits if you have an account with us. Otherwise, you would have to log in again each time you visit.

The flash cookies in use here are not captured in your browser, but rather in your flash plug-in. We also use HTML5 storage objects, which are stored on your device. These storage objects store the required data regardless of your browser and do not have an automatic expiration date. If you do not want flash cookie processing, you must install the appropriate add-on, such as “Better Privacy” for Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/) or Adobe Flash Killer Cookie for Google Chrome. The use of HTML5 storage objects may prevent you from turning on privacy mode in your browser. We also recommend that you regularly delete your cookies and browser history manually.

Webanalyse – Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files that are stored on your computer and used by Google Analytic servers, to analyze your use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization, so your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting countries that are a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Your full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and will only be truncated there in exceptional cases. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address that is transmitted by your browser for Google Analytics purposes will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by activating the corresponding setting in your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible. You may also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the available browser plug-in http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics by disabling Google Analytics at the following link.
It will generate an opt-out cookie that prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website.

Google Webfonts

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content is displayed in a standard font. Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether and for what purposes – for the operators of such libraries to collect data. The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here:www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Youtube

To incorporate videos, we use a YouTube plugin operated by YouTube, LLC, based at 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

If you access one of our YouTube-enabled sites, the YouTube server will be informed about which page you have visited. If you are also logged in with your YouTube account, it will enable Google to match your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

You will find more information about the collection and use of your data by Google at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy under the section about data privacy.
